Allen H Carter, 83, passed away on July 27, 2024 due to heart complications. He was born October 26, 1940 in Minersville, Utah to Sheral Hayward and Leila Marshall Carter. He was raised in Minersville, the 5th of 7 children, five brothers and one sister. He attended Beaver High School where he played a variety of sports and was very competitive throughout life. After graduating high school, he continued his education at Southern Utah Community College for a short time and then moved to Salt Lake City to attend barber school. This is where he met his lifetime sweetheart, Jean Pace. They were married March 18, 1961 and have been side by side for over 63 years. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.
Allen's life was full of adventures and many careers. From the time Dad was young he worked hard and made sure his family was taken care of. While in Salt Lake, Dad and Mom started their family where dad owned his own barber shop and was a police reservist. They later moved home to Minersville where he worked at the town dairy, served as sheriff, and started working for Shocker Construction until he found the career of his life, flying helicopters. He owned and operated SkyHawk Helicopter Service, Inc for over 40 years and Bell 47 Ranch. Dad flew all over the Western United States with Mom following close in the fuel truck. Some of Dad’s favorite things to do was hunt, fish, roam the mountains out west, restore old Ford Mustang cars, support his grandkids in all their activities and adventures, deer hunt camps, reading books, monitoring the stock market daily, morning coffee with his life long buddy's in the county, checking on us kids, and spending quiet time with his sweetheart. He made many life long friends throughout the years. He made sure everyone felt special and loved.
Allen is survived by his sweetheart Jean and his five daughters, Debbie (Ed) Smith, Michelle (Chad) Barton, Wendy (Pete) Yardley, Janet (Shane) Littlefield, and Katy (Clint) Reynolds. Allen was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren with one more on the way. Allen is survived by his siblings Janice (Gordan) Roberts, Roger (Sue) Carter, Reed (Debbie) Carter, sister-in-law Arlene Carter, and many nephews and niece's.
