Anna Beard

Anna Laurine Ward Beard passed away on July 5, 2023, surrounded by family. Anna was born January 25, 1935, in Beaver, Utah to Clyde Albert and Ettie Marie Littlefield Ward. She lived her whole life in Beaver. She had a wonderful childhood growing up with her sisters, Lorna and Barbara. Her family spent summers living in the Beaver mountains at her dad’s sheep camp. Anna loved exploring the mountains and fishing with her dad. She grew up surrounded by family and loved spending time with her beloved grandparents, her cousins were her best friends. Anna graduated from Beaver High School in 1953.

Anna married Glenn R Beard April 19, 1955, in the St. George Temple. Glenn passed away in January, the past 167 days without him have been the hardest she has had to endure.

Anna loved her family and worked hard to care for them. She supported her kids in sports and school activities. Anna loved beautiful flowers, especially red roses, ice-cold Pepsi, barbeque potato chips, fresh onion rings and Christmas.

Anna is survived by sons, Thomas Glenn (Toni), Jimmy Clyde (Holly), Danny Lynn (Jamie), and son-in-law, Jonney Quarnberg, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, husband, Glenn, daughter, Laurie Ann Quarnberg and grandson, Daniel Quarnberg.

The family extends their gratitude and thanks to Beaver Valley Long Term Care for their loving care of Anna over the past four years. You have become family to Anna’s family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Beaver 1st Ward Chapel, located at 15 North 100 West at 11:00 am. The viewing will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary, 195 North 200 West, Beaver and from 9:30-10:30 on Monday morning at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent at www.mortuary.org
