Anne Denny

Anne Denny, age 83, passed away July 15, 2024 as a result of an automobile accident.

Anne was born August 12, 1940 in London, England. Anne grew up in London and attended nursing school and became an RN. She worked in a burn unit in London for a few years and then one day while reading a nursing journal she read an ad advertising for nurses in Milford, Utah.

It was then that she came up with the plan to start her nursing journey and perhaps travel the world and after which she would return to her roots in London. Anne came to Milford and started her career at Milford Memorial Hospital on January 1, 1964. It was in Milford where she met the love of her life Douglas Denny. They were married on August 12, 1965. On September 25,1967 they would have their only son William (Bill). Thus her journey around the world would stop in Milford where she was loved and respected as a wonderful nurse.

Anne continued working at Milford Memorial Hospital until September 3, 1996 and returned back to work there March 27, 2000. Anne retired from Milford Memorial Hospital on her birthday August 12, 2002. After retiring from Milford Hospital she became the school nurse and also a hospice nurse.

After fully retiring Anne spent much of her time in the stands where she enjoyed watching her grandkids and her great grandkids play sports. You could always spot her in the stands cheering them on. Anne loved her grandkids and great grandkids more than anything in the world. As they loved her also.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband Douglas. She is survived by her son William (Bill), daughter in law Michelle, grandchildren Megan McMullin ( Tyler), Tyler Denny (Amanda), and Jaycee Mayer (Alex). Also survived by her previous great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Lexi, Brylie, Grayson, Ripken, Maylee, Jolie, Junie, Ayvee, Axtyn and Arley.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

To honor her wishes there will be no public services. We will have a family gathering to fulfill her final wishes. Thank you for all of the prayers and support from our family and friends and a special thank you to Milford EMS and Milford Hospital for everything you did for Anne on the day of her passing.
