April Phelps Obituary (1968

April Marie Phelps of Enoch City Utah was welcomed by angels at the age of 56, after a long hard fight of 31 days in intensive care; due to health complications. April will be severely missed. Everyone close to her is beyond saddened, but grateful she's not suffering anymore. April, even though small in stature, had a larger than life personality. She was a nurturing, kind, compassionate, caring, and loving woman. She was willfully strong, independent and a spitfire when she needed to be! She was one step ahead of others, always striving to learn and do as much as she could to get ahead in life. April was born July 27th, 1968, in LA California. Daughter of Jess and Sally Lopez. Sibling to Rula Lopez-Sulphur LA. Barbara and Gary Longoria, Patrisha and Dave Hillman Hanford CA. Steven Koskie Oregon, Sister-in-law Gracie Miramontes. Along with several nieces and nephews. April is survived by her high school sweetheart, and companion of 37 years. April married Chad James Phelps at the age of 19, on September 24th, 1989. Chad smiles ear to ear each time he reminisces, about their wedding day. April is also survived by their son her pride and joy Aaron James Phelps. Aaron was and remains to be her miracle child, with a closeness and bond that was, and always will be unbreakable. Aaron brightened her world and was a true miracle baby. April was the very proud Grandmother of Braxtyn James, Kylie Savannah, and Jazzie Marie Phelps. April loved being a Grandma to her grandbabies they were her entire world. I, Tanna Williams became like a daughter she never had but always wanted. She changed my life in so many ways. I pray to become as strong, and as resilient as she was. Mrs. April, I thank you for teaching me the meaning of having True Grit. My best friend had a love for life. A huge love to make others laugh. She took pride in helping others. She was a loyal friend, wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and her favorite role. Gram’s. You never left ma's house sad. April had a way of making everything better. God broke the mold when he made this incredible woman. Her hobbies were spoiling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Laughing with friends and family. She was a huge animal lover, she adored her newest addition to the family, her weenie dog Chocolate. Her husband brought him into the hospital to lay with her, and comfort her in her last days. She loved that. This comforted her greatly. April will live in eternity in our hearts and we will carry on her legacy with pride. Her name will never be forgotten, only cherished and remembered by everyone's life she's touched. We love you April and miss you tremendously. A service will be held by her family in California on March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. please directly message myself, her son Aaron, or her husband Chad for directions. A service will also be held in her hometown of Enoch, at a later date. Will notify, and post as soon as I know the date for that service.
