Beverly Stratton

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend Beverly Jean Price Stratton, age 84 passed away on August 27, 2011. She was born on August 3, 1927 in Los Angeles, California to Kine Virgil and Edythe Marie Lake Price. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in Southern California. She met the love of her life Alden Morris Stratton, and they were married on August 24, 1946 in Los Angeles, California.Beverly was an active member of the LDS Church where she held numerous leadership positions. She and Alden served a full time mission in Arkansas and were full time temple workers at the St. George Temple. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and computers. Her family always enjoyed her talents as a cook and homemaker. To Beverly, her children and grandchildren were always a central part of her life.She is survived by her husband Alden Morris Stratton of New Harmony, Utah. Her children, Susan M. (Richard) Jensen of New Harmony, Utah, and Steven A. (Nancy) Stratton of San Antonio, Texas. Along with 14 wonderful grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Virgil Price, and daughter Sharon Downey.Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Hurricane LDS 7th & 8th Ward located at 155 East 1050 North in Hurricane, Utah. A viewing will take place prior to the service that day from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
