Carol Ann Parkin Obituary (1959 - 2021)

Carol Ann, age 62, was born April 8, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Alma and Carol Jane Facer. She passed away on August 5, 2021 in Cedar City, Utah. Carol Ann married Jeff Parkin in 1977 and they had two children. They were her pride and joys for living, Jeffery James and Shianne Priscilla. Carol Ann grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and Soda Springs, Idaho. She started her married life in Pocatello, Idaho. She truly loved her job working with the elderly to give joy and meaning to their lives. It was a dream all of her childhood to have horses. That dream came true when she and Jeff bought a small ranch to have horses. Her daughter Shianne went on to become rodeo Queen of many events. Her son Jeffery was a great track runner and placed in State. Carol Ann loved Christmas and she celebrated year-round. She embodied the spirit of Christmas. It gave her so much joy as she was a very giving person. Carol Ann is survived by her mother Carole Facer of Anchorage, Alaska. Her brother Russell Facer and sister-in-law Robin Facer of Murrieta, California. Sister-in-law Robin Facer Priestly, Randy’s widow. She also has 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that will love and miss her. She has many cousins, aunts, uncles and family members that hold her dear to their hearts. She is preceded in death by her father, James Alma Facer. Brothers, Glen and Randy Facer. Her husband Jeff Parkin, son Jeffery Parkin and daughter Shianne Parkin. Carol Ann chose to be cremated and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Carol Ann’s family would like to express their gratitude for those who helped Carol at the end stages of life.
