Chari Hensler Obituary (1979 - 2021)

Our sweet angelic wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend, Chari Moore Hensler, age 41, passed away June 2, 2021, in her Cedar City, Utah, home, surrounded by her family. She fought a mighty battle with cancer, but it ultimately took her life...and our hearts, in the process. Chari was born December 30, 1979, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Terence Wainwright Moore and Lory Engar Moore. She married David Michael Hensler on April 11, 2012. David is her soul mate and together they built their lives around family, health, and service. Chari was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Attending school in St. George, Utah, she graduated from Snow Canyon High as Senior Class President. After high school, Chari joined the Bachelor/Master program at Utah State University, majoring in Deaf Education and Communicative Disorders. After graduation, her teaching career took her to St. George, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; Farmington, New Mexico; and Cedar City, Utah. Chari was a lifelong learner, earning many certiﬁcations. Most recently, she earned an Administrative Certiﬁcate from SUU and had just completed her School Psychologist coursework. Chari was employed as District Psychologist of Iron County School District. To describe Chari, words like ﬁrecrackers, raucous laughter, sparkling eyes and perpetual personality would be appropriate. To describe her heart and soul, we use words such as deeply caring, compassion, deep thinking, loving and kind. Her energy will be sorely missed. Chari is survived by her husband David, children Ruger, Remington, and Holland, all of Cedar City, and Vivienne and Sasha Hensler of Chelsea, Alabama. Also surviving; parents, Terry and Lory Moore, Santa Clara; brother, Brandon Moore, Park City; sisters, Taryn {Chris} Baron, Saratoga Springs; Lindsay {Brandon} Vandermyde and Larissa Moore of St. George. A private graveside service will be held for family at 12:00 Noon at the Cedar City Cemetery. Friends are invited to the Celebration of Life for Chari at 4:00 p.m. at the Welch Residence, 3981 West 1600 North, Cedar City. Please come to share your thoughts and experiences of Chari.
