Charilla Obering Obituary (1938 - 2010)

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Charilla Margaret Krager Obering, 71, died March 14, 2010 at her home in Cedar City, Utah. She attended and graduated from high school in Arizona.She was born August 6, 1938 in Hollywood, California to John Robert and Charilla Elizabeth Jones Krager.Among her many callings in this life, none was as important or as precious to Charilla as mother. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and took great pride in her genealogy work. She loved going to Lake Havasu and anytime she was able to spend outdoors and with family and friends. She loved sailing and had a special connection to the ocean.She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and relished her callings in the Primary organization. We are certain a joyous reunion is taking place on the other side as Charilla is reunited and preceded in death by both her parents.Charilla is survived by her children Michael of Villapark, California, Jeffrey (Bobbi) of Cedar City, Utah, Chistopher (Tracy) of Maryland and Jill of Cedar City, Utah. Her 11 grandchildren and her brother Fredrick.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedarview LDS Chapel, 1925 West 320 South, Cedar City, Utah. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services, from 11:00-12:30 also at the Cedarview LDS ward building. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
