Cloetta Clearwater Obituary (1921

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Cloetta Ruth Beumer Clearwater, age 89, passed away on March 10, 2010 in Cedar City, Utah. She was born on February 1, 1921 in Enid, Oklahoma to Frank Clarence and Ethel May Baldwin Beumer. She attended and graduated from Santa Barbara High School in Santa Barbara, California. Her first husband was Sylvan Malis Sr., they had three children, and were later divorced. She then married Lee Clearwater. Cloetta, loved being a homemaker, and kept herself busy raising three boys, but still she found time to go back to school to learn about data entry technology. She also received a two year degree in nursing. She retired from Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. It was through her second husband Lee that they managed the "Tip Top Ranch", better known as Ronald Regans Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. She became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in her later years.Cloetta, is survived by her three sons: Sylvan Malis Jr., Randall Malis and Robert Malis, along with 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11:00 am at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 190 North 300 West in Cedar City, Utah.
