Friday, July 22, 2016, marked the end of Dad’s (Papa Dee’s) earthly journey. He entered life November 5th, 1926, to wonderful parents, Neils Hyrum and Angeline Welker Hansen and had 3 wonderful brothers and 2 amazing sisters. As a builder and land developer in life, he raised neighborhoods, created communities, and his most important project in life was building family. He shared 32 years with Bobbie Anne raising 5 children. His last 22 years were shared with Marjorie building more memories with family. He proudly served during WWII in the Navy serving in the Pacific Theater. His call to serve as a builder of chapels took him and his family to Australia for several years and once again he did so willingly. He had a testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ and always said, “I’ll go where you want me to go, dear Lord” and so he did. His genuine interest in what was happening with “you” inspired many of us to share our dreams and exciting life events with him. As his posterity, we will miss his storytelling, sense of humor, advice, and hugs. His parting words to each of us would have been something like, keep family close and love unconditionally. We will miss this noble man. We know his love for us is forever and we will count on his encouragement for each one of us as we continue our life’s journey…Until we meet again Dad. He is survived by his girls, Joy (Kevin) Cutler, Jiaunna (Randy) Holmquist, Janie (Paul) Arnold, Darla (Don) Swenson, and his 30 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Hansen and his son, Mark D’On Hansen. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Paragonah Chapel (79 N Main, Paragonah, Utah). A viewing will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Paragonah Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary.
