Minersville: On Tuesday Morning, February 22, 2011, our husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, who was 75 years old, returned home to his Heavenly Father. Dale Thurman Eyre was born March 29, 1935, in Minersville, Utah, to Thurman Frank and Irma Gillins Eyre. Dale attended and graduated from Beaver High School. He married the love of his life, Carla Margie Johnson, on July 17, 1953, in Adamsville, Utah. Together they had six children. Dale was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints; and he served as Bishop, Counselor in the Bishopric, Elders Quorum President, High Council Member and played on the Church Mens basketball team. Dale loved to chase wild horses, go deer hunting with his family and friends, and he was excited to kill a bull elk this past season "Out West." His biggest thrill was watching his kids play football, and he enjoyed his birthday parties with everyone. Dale especially loved his milk cows and watching a cow fill a 100 pound jar twice a day. Dale is survived by his, wife Carla; his children Chris (Marilee) Eyre of Beaver, Utah; Bryant "Berg" (Brenda) Eyre; Dean (Teri) Eyre; Kaylene (Warren) Quarnberg; David (Marcia) Eyre all of Minersville, Utah, LaDell (Angela) Eyre of Cedar City, Utah; his brothers Gordan Eyre, Calvin Eyre, Gayle Eyre; his sister Madalyn Gale; and 18 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Irma Eyre, and two sisters-in-law, Anne Eyre and Carolyn Eyre and brother-in-law Clark Johnson. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Minersville LDS Ward Chapel located at 130 West Main, Minersville, Utah. Viewing will be held Friday, February 25, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to service at the Minersville church. Interment will be in the Minersville City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
