Darrell Wayne Noble
May 20, 1952 – July 18, 2024
Darrell Wayne Noble, 72, of Layton, Utah, returned home to his father in heaven peacefully on July 18, 2024, after battling COPD. Darrell was born on May 20, 1952, to Ira Wayne and Carma (Kent) Noble in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the second oldest of six siblings. As a child, he loved spending all his free time outdoors being a rambunctious little boy. He earned his Eagle Scout Award and was a diver on the swim team in high school. He graduated from Sky View High School in 1970. He married Vicki Lynn Reed, who was the mother of his children, on October 26, 1974, then later divorced. He continued his education at The University of Utah earning a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Real Estate in 1979. Darrell shared fond memories from Lewiston and Hurricane, Utah.
Darrell took great pride in quality work ethic, being sure to do things right for his customers, and giving 110%. He dotted every I and crossed every T. He was meticulous not only in his work as a roofing contractor but also with his lawn, landscape, and vegetable gardens. He loved watching the fruits of his labor and shared the produce with his family and neighbors. Darrell spent his free time exploring and hunting waterfowl and upland game not just in the state of Utah, but across the country. He had filing cabinets full of research for his next hunting adventure. He put thousands of miles on his truck going on drives all over the country.
He is survived by his four children: Joshua Darrell Noble (Brandi), Syrissa Noble Jolley (Ryan), Jeremy Noble (deceased), Laci Noble Morley (Tim), and Ashlee Noble Shemenski (Stephen); his grandchildren: Samuel Jolley (Emily), Benjamin Jolley (Ellie), Alyssa Jolley, Lyndzi Morley, Avary Jolley, Lexi Morley, Megan Jolley, Skylar Jolley, Jason Shemenski, Tayler Morley, Emily Noble, Kylee Shemenski, and Tyler Shemenski; his sisters: Susan Pease, Linda Healy, and Kathleen Purdy; and his brother: Clark Noble.
Darrell was preceded in death by his baby boy, Jeremy David Noble; his brother, Ralph Kent Noble; and both of his parents, Ira Wayne Noble and Carma Kent.
Darrell left behind a legacy in his children. He instilled hard work and always doing your best. We will remember him for his tenacity, grit, and candor, and miss his frequent messages in cards or texts of encouragement and kindness.
There will be a grave side service in honor of Darrell on Saturday August 24, 2024, at 10:00am in Smithfield City Cemetery. 300 East Center Street, Smithfield, Utah.
