David Lauck

David Robert Lauck, age 81, passed away on January 15, 2012. He was born on June 6, 1930 in Alton, Illinios to Albert and Laura Bigham Lauck. He served with the Army during the Korean war, and married his sweetheart Marilyn D. Gibson on August 7, 1979 in Arcata, California. David also received a PHD from the University of Illinois, and taught for many years as a professor in Biology. He was not a member, but supported his wife in the LDS faith. He enjoyed being the Parowan Santa for a many years! David loved nature. He worked endlessly on projects ranging from carpentry to landscaping around the condos where he lived. He also enjoyed betting on horses and playing black jack.David is survived by his wife Marilyn Lauck of Parowan, UT. His children; Tim Lauck of Arcata, CA, Sara (Barry) Formslag of California, Cathy (Jim) Croy of Upland, CA, David (Sandy) Blanco-Mesa of Cedar City and Diane (Michael) Dauby of Parowan. Along with his brother Albert Lauck and 5 wonderful grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Laura Lauck.
