DeLayne Allred Mifflin, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on November 28, 2009. She was born on January 24, 1949 to Claire J. And Dorothy Williams Allred in Ogden, Utah. She married Benjamin Wayne Mifflin on March 21, 1968 in the Logan Utah Temple.DeLayne and Wayne moved to Cedar City that same spring following his graduation from Weber State and made it their home. DeLayne was active in scouting for many years. She enjoyed reading, doing yard work and gardening and most of all, taking care of her children and grandchildren.She was an active member of the Cedar City Sixteenth Ward and enjoyed her many callings in the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society. Temple attendance was high on her list of favorite things.DeLayne is survived by her husband Wayne, her children; Ben (Christine) of Henderson, Nevada, David of Cedar City, Thomas (Krystal) of Cedar City, Elizabeth (David) of Salt Lake City, Rebecca (Derek) of Cedar City, and Michael (Sara) of Athol, Massachusetts. Her sisters Jeanne of Crosby, North Dakota, Kae Lynn (Phil) of Georgetown, Texas, Beth of St. George, Julie (David) of West Jordan and her brother Hoyt (Dena) of Plain City, Utah along with five grandchildren and two future ones scheduled for 2010, all of whom will miss her greatly. She is preceded in death by her parents Claire and Dorothy Allred, her brother Aaron and two brother-in laws Sid Cottam and Stan Erickson.Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Cedar City 16th Ward located at 1925 West 320 South in Cedar City, Utah. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 190 North 300 West in Cedar City, Utah and on Friday, December 4th, 2009 from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church. Interment will be held in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
