Edna Louise Jilcott, 92, passed away on May 16, 2014 in Cedar City, Utah. She was born on June 26, 1921 in Greeley, Colorado to James Arthur Dungan and Edna Louise Johnson. Edna attended school in Greeley, CO. While she was growing up, her dad was a doctor and their house was the hospital. During WWII, she served as a telephone operator in the Army. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Steamboat Springs, CO. She married John H. Jilcott on November 26, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. They had five children. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children. She also made ceramics and crocheted. Her family was her life; she loved her kids and grandkids. Edna is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Jilcott, her daughter Jesse C. Decker, her parents, a brother Arthur Dungan and a sister Mary Edna Dungan. She is survived by her children: Jeanne (Jack) Morris of Longview, WA; Eileen (Toney) Cantu of Alamosa, CO; James E. (Mary) Jilcott of Cedar City, UT; John E. (Teri) Jilcott of Cheyenne, WY; five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Southern Utah Mortuary. Private family services will be held at a later date.
