Erick Barnes

Erick Delane Barnes, age 44, passed away July 23, 2016. He was born May 12, 1972 in Milford, Utah to Margaret and Charles Scott Barnes. Erick grew up in Milford. He was a graduate of Milford High School with the class of 1990 where he was a state champion wrestler. Afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served in Desert Storm as a hull tech. Erick enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and looking for deer and elk. Erick loved his wife, kids and family more than anything in this world. He was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He had the biggest heart toward anyone in need and he will be greatly missed. Erick is survived by his wife Rachel Hardy Barnes of Milford; his children Emiree Margaret Barnes, Kolt Delane Barnes, and step-son Slade Ray Mortensen; step-mom Betty Jo Hoagland of Milford; step-dad Delbert Carrington of Milford; his brother Michael (Casidy) Barnes of Milford; sisters Melissa (Paul) Wunderlich of Milford, ShaRee (Cody) Wright of Milford, and Stephanie (J.C) Lay of St. George. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Carrington, his father Charles (Scott) Barnes, and grandparents: Wayne and Cathy Roberts, Ray and Shirlene Barnes, and Cecil and Rachel Stewart. Memorial service will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary in Milford, Utah (209 South 100 West). Interment will be in the Milford City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
