Eula Garner Obituary (1932

Eula Mae Fuller Garner, age 78, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2011, in St. George, Utah. Eula was born November 23, 1932, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to Benjamin and Gladys Fuller. Growing up during the Great Depression of the 1930s, Eula learned the value of hard work and an honest living. Eula married Dewey D. Garner in 1960, and is the mother of Catherine (David) Zevely, of Stockton, CA, Helene Dee (Wade) Carney, of Alpine, WY and Dewey L. (Denise) Garner, of Cedar Hills, UT and stepchildren, Gary F. (Elizabeth) Garner, of South Jordan, UT, Linda Garner, of Missoula, MT, Lynette (Bruce) Petersen, of Deseret, UT, Shauna Ryser and Lisa Hunter, of Salt Lake City, UT. Eula is also survived by her sisters Edra Volquardsen, of Nampa, ID, Eleanor (Lewis) Stills, of Soda Springs, ID and one brother, Bruce Fuller, of Lakeside, CA. Eula loved her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and always enjoyed them when they stopped by her home for a visit. Eula was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dewey D. Garner. Eula and Dewey lived in Cedar City for 32 years, where Eula worked in the retail grocery industry until her retirement. Eula loved the outdoors, gardening and taking care of her immaculate home. For the last three and a half years, Eula loved and cared for her pet Pomeranian dog "Fluffy." The family will miss her dearly and sincerely appreciate all who loved and cared for Eula throughout her life. A special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff from the Dixie Regional Medical Center, in St. George, UT, who made Eulas final days as peaceful and comfortable as possible.A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. " 10:30 a.m., with funeral services immediately following from 11:00 a.m. " 12:00 p.m., at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, UT 84720. Interment at Cedar City Cemetery, where Eula will be laid to rest next to her husband under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
