Frances Stott Gale , “Fran” passed away July 23, 2017 at Hope West Hospice Center in Grand Junction, Colorado after a recent fall resulting in brain injury. Fran was born August 15, 1937 in Charleston, Utah to Wesley and VauNess Stott. She was the second of three children. On January 26, 1955 she married her high school sweetheart Douglas Albert Gale in Beaver, Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City temple on December 7, 1956. Their most recent residence was in Parowan, Utah. Prior to that they lived in Brianhead, Utah for many years. Fran was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints serving as a Primary Counselor, Ward Librarian, Visiting Teacher, MIA President and Counselor, and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed playing her organ, embroidery, recycling Christmas cards, using them in scrapbooks with her own authored poem, writing poetry, word find books, reading, writing hand written letters, supporting mission relatives , as well as many crafts. Fran was an avid Utah Jazz fan as well as Denver Bronco fan. Frances is survived by her husband Douglas, their 5 children, Debra Johnson (Joe) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tammy Wheeler (Ed Price) of Grand Junction , Colorado; James Gale (BK) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Bonnie Huisjen (Tom) and Sherri Rosen-Wolfe (Micah) also both of Grand Junction, Colorado. Fran had 20 grand children, 25 great grand children and 2 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Yvonne Parkinson of Salt Lake City, Utah and her brother, Nyle Stott of Delta, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest daughter Christine. Funeral will be held Saturday July 29, 2017 @ 1:00 p.m. with a viewing from 11:00-12:30pm at the Parowan 5th Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
