Gordon Farnsworth

Our husband, father and grandpa passed away peacefully on January 22, 2014. Gordon Gurr Farnsworth was born on May 13, 1927 in Richfield, Utah to Hugh Asa Farnsworth and Araminta Goulding Farnsworth. Gordon served his county in the military during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He married Carol Jane Davenport on January 20, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Gordon retired from the Utah Highway Patrol after 20 years of service. He was active in the LDS Church serving in many callings. He and his wife served a mission in the Philippines. Gordon is survived by his wife Carol, his daughters Marie (Jim) Adams and Lorraine (Val) Henrie, 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also a sister, Ann Giacalone and brother Ken Farnsworth. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Jane and Toni Lee and one son, Michael Gordon. Also one brother Jim Farnsworth and a sister Dora Mae Bronson. We wish to express a sincere thanks to Kolob Care Center and Hospice for your care in dads final days. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Paragonah Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
