Gwen Stucki

Gwen Anderson Stucki passed away September 22, 2016 at the age of 96. Gwen was born January 18, 1920 in Central Utah, the third of five children born to CO. and Vilate Anderson. She graduated from BYU with a degree in elementary education and moved to Cedar City to begin her teaching career. There she met Richard Stucki. They were married August 3, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. She and her husband traveled extensively after retirement but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Richard, daughters Gaye (David) Platt and Marilyn (Bob) Hixson, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.   Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Southern Utah Mortuary Chapel (190 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah). A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 am that morning. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
