Ila was born on the 8th day of September 1926 in a little log house in Beaver, Utah. Her parents were Waldo and Viola Yardley. Ila had two older brothers and three younger brothers; thats why she was such a tom boy. Ila attended grade school and high school in Beaver, graduating in 1945. She married William Williamson in the St. George temple on March 13, 1946. They were married for over sixty years. Ila and William moved to Paragonah in August 1950 to take care of William's mother. Ila held many jobs over the years. She worked at rest homes in St. George, Cedar City, and Parowan. She was a janitor at the LDS church in Paragonah. She worked at the care and share Center in Parowan for 12 years. She also did extraction work for the LDS church and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Ila was known for her rug-making. She never kept track of how many rugs were made or where they all went. One of the rugs hangs in a museum in Salt Lake City. She entered them in the county fair and won several blue ribbons. She had to retire from making rugs due to her failing eye sight. Ila loved going up in the hills. She loved to camp and look for pine nuts. She enjoyed camping at the old Williamsons Ranch, gazing at the stars, and watching wildlife. She grew a large garden and entered her canned dilly beans in the fair, winning blue ribbons. Ila had a keen sense of humor and liked to kid around with everyone. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. We love you, Ila. She is survived by her sons James W. Williamson of Parowan, UT; George (Linda) Williamson of Kemmerer, WY; son-in-law Marvin T. Adams of St. George, UT; sister-in-law Maurine Yardley of Milford, UT; grandsons Glen Williamson of Kemmerer, WY; Troy (Elaina) Williamson of San Jose, CA; and Eric Williamson of Kemmerer, WY; her granddaughter Marcy Setser of Kemmerer, WY; and great-grandchildren Ashley and Vernon Setser of Big Piney, WY. Ila is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Vie Ann Williamson Adams; and her brothers Duane, Merril, Al, Boyd, and Don Yardley.
