Jack Ray Haynes, age 86, passed away December 7, 2020 at Cedar City, Utah after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born August 23, 1934 in Lewiston, Idaho to Lawrence L Haynes and Zella Haynes. He grew up in Lewiston, Idaho where he lived until he joined the US Airforce and was stationed in Spokane, Washington.\nJack married Carol Ann Paggeot February 20, 1959 in Tacoma, Washington, where Jack worked for Boeing. Together they had two sons and spent 12 years in Montana and moved to Cedar City in 1980. Jack worked for the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management as an electrical engineer specializing in technical radio and tower maintenance. Jack was a hard worker and very knowledgeable. He retired after many years of dedicated service. Jack loved the outdoors, trees and birds, especially his cockatiel Burt.\nJack leaves his wife of 61 years Carol Haynes, sons Joel Robert Haynes and Paul Erik Haynes, daughter in law Jennifer Haynes, granddaughter Paige Erin Haynes, and special friends Brittany and Honney Joseph. Jack is preceded in death by parents Lawrence and Zella Haynes, and sister Barbara Nelson.\nJack will be missed dearly by all those who knew him. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Brookdale and hospice for their kindness shown to Jack over the past two months.
