Our kind, loving, Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, James Marion Tilman Jr., age 83, passed away on May 25, 2022 in Parowan, Utah. He was born on May 12, 1939 in Las Vegas, Nevada to James Marion and Florence Marian Schmidt Tilman. James served in the US Navy on the USS Dixie Destroyer. He married Linda Mabel Winter on June 11, 1970.\nJames worked in the Landscaping industry, was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed many things in life like fishing, singing karaoke, working puzzles, drawing, painting and hunting.\nJames is survived by his wife Linda Tilman of Parowan, UT. His children James Tilman III of Cedar City, UT, Rebecca Sharp of Cedar City, UT and Erik (Heidi) Tilman of Lewisburg, PA. His brother, John Roy (Faye) Tilman of Oklahoma City, OK, sister Barbara Satterfield of Paragonah, UT. Along with 11 grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.\nHe is preceded in death by his parents, James Tilman and Florence Tilman. His brother Victor, sisters Karla Gardner and Marie Anita Tilman and brother-in-law Don Satterfield.\nA viewing will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Parowan Southern Utah Mortuary located at 15 East 100 North, Parowan, Utah. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm at Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
