Jan Luttio-Hammers Obituary (1958 - 2023)

Jan Luttio-Hammers, 65, best mother and favorite grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 23, 2023 at Cedar Hospital, Cedar City, Utah, due to complications from Stage 4 breast cancer. She was born to Donald Elmer Luttio and the late Leslie Faye Haserot-Stettler on October 8, 1958 in Southern California. While in California, she attended cosmetology school, established her career, and expanded her family by marrying the love of her life and partner in crime 37 years ago. She planted roots in Cedar City in the early 1990s and quickly built a name for herself in the Community, eventually opening her own salon: Jan’s Barber Shop. She loved camping, playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, listening to classic Rock N Roll, and taking long road trips with her husband on her Harley. She loved to have fun, and her smile and laughter were contagious. As a local Cedar City hair stylist, barber, and shop-owner, she was known for giving the best haircuts. Many of her clients became dear friends. She will truly be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, William Hammers, her father Don (Deanna) Luttio, her brother Mike (Mary) Luttio, her children, Leslie Friedrich (Daniel) Woodard, Ray (Jessica Robinson) Friedrich, Stephanie (Wesley) Workman, Kaleb Morton, Jason Lamorauex, as well as her step-children, Aaron Hammers and Roberta Hammers-Givens, her grandchildren Jan, Anna, Colton, Cooper, Ruby, Matthew, Cathron, Madison, Kailey, and Vivian, as well as 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
