Janet Goode

Janet Colleen Slade Goode was born May 6, 1957 to Georgia Lee Steward Slade and Hal Leroy Slade. She passed away July 10, 2014 in Parowan, Utah. Janet grew up and attended school in Silverton, Colorado. She married Donnie Lee Goode and they had one daughter Amanda Dawn Goode. Her husband Donnie was later killed in a tragic mining accident which led Janet to move to Kanab, Utah to be closer to her parents and her sister Becky Slade. Janet had a passion for antiques and loved yard sales. The perfect weekend for Janet was yard-saling with her mom and sister, looking for hidden treasures and going out for a great lunch. She was an avid reader and had a great joy for animals and growing plants. Her greatest joys in life were her two grandchildren Marissa and Mariah. Her grandchildren were her deepest love and when they called her "yaya," it brought an instant smile to her face. She is preceded in death by her father Hal LeRon Slade and husband Donnie Lee Goode. Janet is survived by her daughter Amanda Dawn Langnese, granddaughters Marissa and Mariah, mother Georgia Lee Zimmerman, sister Becky Slade Helquist (Doug) and family, aunts and uncles Bill Steward and aunt Wendy, aunt Sherry Slade, uncle Max Slade and many cousins and extended family, and mother and father-in-law Velma and Truman Goode. Private family services will be held under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
