Janet Horsley

Janet Louise Parks Horsley born July 8, 1937 in Phoenix, Arizona to William A. Parks and Lena Belle Allen passed away on October 19, 2017 in St. George, Utah. When Janet was 17 years old, she went to visit her sister who lived in Beryl, Utah where she met Donald L. Horsley. Donald and Janet were married December 31, 1954 in Pioche, Nevada. To that union were born three sons, Donald Lorenzo Horsley Jr. (Donny), Earnest Lorenzo Horsley and Spencer Parks Horsley. Janet spent her time at home raising her three boys. Upon Donald’s retirement, Donald and Janet were ordinance workers in the St. George Temple and took a church history tour. Janet is survived by her sons, Ernest and Spencer, along with other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, and her son, Donny. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Parowan City Cemetery (834 Canyon Rd, Parowan, UT) under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. A viewing will be held prior to the services on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 9:00-9:30 am at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Parowan (15 E, 100 N, Parowan, UT).
