Jason Butterfield

We are sad to announce the passing of Jason Dale Butterfield Jr. on June 24, 2023, at 19 years old, from Cedar City Utah.

He graduated from Canyon view high school class of 2021. After high school he started working at the Cedar Band Travel Plaza where he loved his coworkers and friends.

He loved spending time with family, shooting, fishing, and hiking. He always had a joke to crack, or a smart come back. He loved to participate in his native american roots and culture, he took a special liking to play the native american flute.

He is loved by his brother Brody and sisters Luna and Madelyn; His parents Naomi, Jason and Chaura, he was our gentle giant.

A traditional all night sing will be held on Friday June 30th at the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah Gym beginning at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 1st at 9am in the Paiute Indian Tribe Gym. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery.
