Jeremy Bowman

–

Cedar City, Utah

Jeremy Will Bowman passed peacefully at home with his daughter by his side the morning of May 26, 2023 after a long stubborn battle with cancer. He was born on December 10, 1970 to Kay and Spence Bowman, their first born. His father’s job took them all over the state, including Moab, Manilla and even took them to Wyoming in the summers. They lived out of a camp trailer and had a creek to keep food cold and to bathe in. He always thought of it as an adventure and never complained once. His parents welcomed four other children, Jamie (Mike) Shurtz, James (Ivani) Bowman, Jess (Kori) Bowman, and Joni (Shad) Munford. He moved back to Cedar City his freshman year of high school and graduated from Cedar High class of 88’. Working as a guide he met Keisha Albrecht on a hunt with her parents. They were later married on December 8, 1997 and two years later had their first daughter, On June 3, 1999 Kelsey Elaine Bowman (McIntyre). Fifteen months later on September 13, 2000 they welcomed their only son Spencer Cooper Bowman, and a short five years later welcomed the baby of the family on November 23, 2005 Taylor RaNae Bowman. They later divorced but always shared a true love with one another. He was always a supportive dad and loved to take his kids hunting, fishing and trapping. They got to tag along with him at work regularly.
Jeremy loved to hunt before he even knew how to walk, he would go trapping and hunting with his father regularly. He became a guide, and instilled a love for hunting to anyone around him and made many friends along the way. He had a handful of other jobs including produce manager at Albertsons, building trails and roads for the forest service. He then began working with his father Spence in 2000 drilling ground source heat exchange. They drilled for commercial jobs and many schools and government buildings. He then ventured out on his own and decided to found Earth First Drilling with an old fixed up rig. After many years he decided to start drilling water wells and installing pumps to stay closer to home, he decided to rename the business Earth Technology Inc, because “it sounds cool”. His company has grown and he has so many loyal customers. His son Spencer, daughter Kelsey, and his son in law Sam McIntyre, all work for the business and are so grateful to carry on his legacy. His pride and joy were his granddaughters, he doted on them and took them everywhere with him. Even as he grew sick, he still managed to always play with them and make them feel so special.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents “Bud” DeMar (Marilyn) Bowman, David (Elaine) Bulloch. He is survived by his parents, his children, his granddaughters Josey, Lennon, and Zeppelin McIntyre, his bonus granddaughters Karsyn VanBuren and Andi McIntyre, and his siblings. He will be truly missed by all. We are grateful for all of the great family and friends we have been surrounded by at this time. As Jeremy always said, good as the best, better than the rest.
