Joan Linda Cohn, 79, passed away on October 13, 2016 in Cedar City, UT. She was born in Palo Alto, California on December 2, 1936 to Herman Kaufmann and Elsie Arvilla Phillips. Her passion was horses; well accomplished in the horse industry throughout her whole life. Working in many fields, she always had a way of organizing and working her way right up to Management. Starting by working her way to be one of the first women to manage and model a high end fashion store in California, to Brian Head and many more. Her summers were consumed with wranglers and trail rides. She had a small family to begin, but every summer at the national parks, she added wranglers of all ages. Most of whom took her on as grandma. For those that know her she always carried a dark tan and anticipated their trips to Mexico. Joan is survived by her children Cammie Berry (Dave) Gentry of Sloughhouse, CA and Robert Jamison, step-son Eddie Cohn, 3 grandchildren: Amber Berry, Cody Edge Berry and Jason Wiley, 2 great-grandchildren, her sister Marie “Ree” Zaphiropoulos and her step-mother Gertrude Kaufmann. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherril Wiley, her parents, her brother Gary Kaufmann and her companion Lance Baldry.
