John Wellck

John Albert Wellck of Cedar City, Utah beloved husband, father, grandfather and dearest friend, died in St. George UT at Red Cliffs Rehabilitation Center in St. George UT on December 30th, 2019 at the age of 86, due to congestive heart failure. He is predeceased by his father Walter, mother Genevieve, wife Maureen, son Fritz and sister Dorothy. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret, son in law Israel Miranda and granddaughters Emily and Charlotte Miranda.
He was born in Los Angeles, CA and retired from the Los Angeles Times after 35 years of service. He and Maureen moved to Cedar City over 25 years ago where they found much happiness amongst friends and neighbors. Maureen passed away over 17 years ago and John remained in Cedar City.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral services which will be held Friday January 3rd, 2019 at Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, UT at 2:00 pm
