Kerrie Graff Obituary (1955

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Kerrie Lynn Forsyth Graff, returnedhome to her Heavenly Father on October 14, 2013 in Washington, Utah after a valiant battle withcancer. She passed through the veil surrounded by her loving family. Kerrie was born to Stanley and Sue Forsyth on January 2, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona. Kerrie hadfond memories growing up with her three sisters and brother in southern Arizona. She lovedspending her summers with her Grandma Morris in Phoenix. Her family moved to Cedar City,Utah when she was 15 where she attended Cedar High School. Kerrie was honored to be electedto homecoming royalty and graduated from Cedar High in 1973. Kerrie married the love of her life, Kenneth Jay Graff, in the Manti LDS Temple on May 17,1974. Ken and Kerrie were blessed with five beautiful children. Kerries greatest love in lifewas her family. She dedicated her life to serving her children and grandchildren. Kerriesgreatest joy in this life came from being a mother. She said recently that there was not anythingin the world that she could have done that she would have loved more than being a mother. Shewas committed to being at the crossroads of her childrens lives and they were each blessed tohave a mother actively involved in their lives. Her home was always warm and welcoming andmany considered her to be the best cook in the world. She opened her home up to completestrangers and made them feel loved and welcome. Kerrie also made every birthday and holidaya very special event. She left a legacy of faithful service in the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterdaySaints. Her favorite callings were working with the young women and the children in thePrimary. Kerrie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Kenneth J. Graff; her five children, Derek (Kristy)of Farmington, New Mexico, Jake (Chitra) of Washington, Utah, Nathan of Salt Lake City, Utah,Devin (Lisa) of Hurricane, Utah and Victoria Kate of Washington, Utah; her eight grandchildren,Shandon, Jacei, Kennedi, Sydney, Aspen, Caleb, Madison and Tynlee; her father, Stanley S.Forsyth; her siblings, Vicki, DeAnna, Brent and Susan and many nieces and nephews.Kerrie was preceded in death by her mother, Sue Morris Forsyth, her beloved grandparents, andher nephew, Daniel Kernodle. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Washington LDSStake Center located at 860 North Fairway Drive in Washington, Utah. Friends may callThursday, October 17 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary and Friday at the stakecenter from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services are under the direction of Southern UtahMortuary.
