Lana Kathleen Reed, 75 years old, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 in Beaver, Utah surrounded by her loving family. Lana was born January, 16, 1946 In Wendell, Idaho. Her parents Joe Denton and Ruth Sonberg were overjoyed to add Lana to their family. Lana grew up in various parts of the country due to her father being employed by the U.S Railroad. Lana graduated from Reno High School in 1963.\nLana worked as a dental assistant in her youth, after she married she was a change girl and later in life was a business owner in the gem and mineral business and a video store until her retirement when she moved to Beaver, Utah in 1991. Lana was known as Nana and loved by all who knew her. She was a beautiful example of Christ like love; she loved with her whole heart without judgment and could find the good in everyone she came into contact with. She had an unwavering testimony of our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly Mother. She loved to write poetry, practice penmanship, wood burning, and fishing. She was especially “so, so, so proud” and loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.\nLana is survived by her children Debbie (Mark) Claridge, Angel Larson, Becky (Rick) Sanchez, Paul Penney, and Tina (David) Robinson, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one brother-Dale Denton.\nLana was preceded in death by her parents-Joe Denton and Ruth Sonberg, her daughter Desiree Shotwell, her grandson-Micheal Larson and her sisters Billie Ruth and Lana Jo.\nServices will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 12:30 pm at the Beaver 3rd Ward (220 North Main Street Beaver, Utah) with the viewing prior from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Interment will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
