Lily Russell Obituary (1930 - 2017)

Lily B. Crawford Russell, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017 in her sleep. Lily was born on Dec. 7, 1930, to William Louis Crawford and Mary Jane Bean. She was the youngest of seven children. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. An active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lily served in many Ward and Stake positions throughout her life. Lily grew up in Springdale, Ut. and she always said she loved growing up in such a beautiful place. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Dale Russell on May 5, 1950 in the St. George Temple. They settled in Henderson, NV, and raised six children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale and her youngest daughter, Pamela Russell Fratiano. She is survived by her 3 daughters and 2 sons, Christine (Thomas) Mathews, Catherine (Guy) Nelson, Shirley (Lee) Sanders, Gordon Ardith) Russell and Garry (Deborah) Russell. Lily also has 26 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to the staffs of the BeeHive Houses in Henderson, NV, and Cedar City, UT, for their loving care for Lily in her final years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12 noon at the Equestrian Pointe Chapel ( 370 N 4050 W in Cedar City). There will be a viewing one hour before at the same location. Burial will be on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 9:20am at the Boulder City Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada
