Marilyn Bauer obituary January 25, 2022\n\n \n\nOn Monday January 24, 2022 Lois Marilyn Kemple Bauer a loving mother and grandmother known as “pink grandma” passed away at age 89.\n\n \n\nMarilyn was born on March 31, 1932 in Los Angeles, California to George Clifford and Juanita Kemple.\n\n \n\nMarilyn spent her younger years growing up in Goodsprings, Nevada. Her father Clifford was a miner providing for his family, consisting of Marilyn and Juanita, no other siblings blessed this small but loving family. Times were hard during these great depression years, but this family stuck together during the good and bad times.\n\n \n\nMarilyn graduated from Cedar City high school in 1950. On May 5, 1951 she married her cowboy Arlen A. Bauer in Cedar City, Utah. On July 2, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada, their only child Pamela was born to the proud parents. Then on January 24, 1970 Arlen and Marilyn were married in the Saint George temple and had their sweet teenage daughter sealed to them.\n\n \n\nMarilyn served many years as a nurse. She enjoyed working and helping many of the long established residents in the small but growing city of Las Vegas.\n\n \n\nMarilyn was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in the auxiliaries and organizations. She was particularly fond of the primary and loved music. She would spend hours writing programs for Christmas cantatas and choosing the musical numbers.\n\n \n\nMarilyn and Arlen loved traveling in their motor home along with their close square dancing friends to various places here in the west. Many strong and lasting friendships were established with these friends during their dancing and motor home trips.\n\n \n\nMarilyn was preceded in death by her cowboy Arlen. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bauer Wilkins, her husband Paul K. Wilkins. Her grandson Mark Wilkins, Tonya his wife, and great grand children, Hanna and Hunter. Grandson David Wilkins. Grandson Scott Wilkins, Jennise his wife, and great granddaughter Emma. Grandson Erik Wilkins, Katie his wife, and great grand children Ezra and Eden.\n\n \n\nFuneral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., Las Vegas time, in Las Vegas at the chapel located at 5750 North Cimarron Road 89149. There will be a small gathering of friends and family immediately following the service at the Wilkins home located at 8340 W. Fisher Ave. 89149\n\n \n\nBurial will take place on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the Cedar City cemetery 685 N. Main at 11:00 a.m., Cedar City time.
