Merrill Tillahash

Our beloved brother and friend, Merrill K. Tillahash, returned to our Creator peacefully in the early hours of December 13th, 2018, at his residence in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on October 26th, 1956, in Santa Barbara California, to Arthur Tillahash, Evelyn Sampson. Merrill attended Morgan High School, where he would graduate, getting a wrestling scholarship to attend Dixie College, in St. George Utah. He enjoyed life in general, loved traveling and excitement. Was friendly to all.
Merrill Kent Tillahash is survived by his siblings: Karma Grayman, Shivwits Ind. Reservation, Ivins Utah, Sherwin (Gladys) Tillahash, Cedar City Utah, William (Linda) Tillahash, Cedar City, Utah, Nancy Tillahash, St. George Utah, Charlene Ankowitz, Montana, and many nieces and nephews, Grand nieces and nephews.
Merrill is preceded in death by his brother Darryl Tillahash, Laura Lee Tillahash, Samuel Tillahash, Jacqueline Tillahash, Sheldon Tillahash, and his parents, Arthur Tillahash/ Shivwits Ind Reservation, Evelyn Sampson, Kiabab Arizona.
Funeral Services will be held at the Shivwits Community Center, in Ivins, Uath, on Tuesday, December 18th at 11:00 am. A Viewing will be held prior to the service at the Shivwits Community Center from 10:00-11:00 am. Lunch will be served afterwards. Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
