Cedar City, Utah

Gloria "Joy" Hillman passed away peacefully April 1, 2015 at the Beaver Valley Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 26, 1945 to Alma Thomas and Elizabeth Maurene Miller Jones in Milford, Utah and welcomed home by her big brother, Fred. Joy lived and went to school in Milford. After graduation, she married Leonard Hillman. They had one son, Tracy. Joy and Tracy moved to Bremerton, Washington where she worked as a healthcare aide for the elderly. She later moved back to Milford to help take care of her mother. She loved being an aide at the Milford Elementary where she was able to be with and work with the sweet little children that she loved so very much. It meant so much to her for the love that was given so freely from those children. Joy lived up to her name. She loved to laugh and be happy and she loved caring for the elderly, which was her job for so many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved her four grandchildren, Zack, Nathan, Ian, and Athea. Joy is survived by her son, Tracy L. Hillman of Milford, UT, her four grandchildren, her brothers Fred Lynn Miller of Salt Lake City, UT and Donald M. Jones of Winnemucca, NV, her sisters Kathy (Willey) of Milford, UT, Connie (Grant) Wadsworth of Milford, UT and Debra Ann Wagner of Lake Havasu, AZ, her aunt Gladys Banks of Salt Lake City, UT and her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Alma Thomas and Elizabeth Maurene Miller Jones, sisters Gladys Maurene Miller, Jolene Shufflebeam, Judy McQueen and Ida Jo Shufflebeam and her brother Alma Thomas Miller, Jr. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
