Necia Edmonson

–

Greenville, Utah

Necia Lynn Webb Edmonson, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, in Beaver, Utah. She was 78 years old.

Necia was born on June 12, 1947, in Rupert, Idaho, to Grant and Barbara Webb. She spent her early childhood in Burley, Idaho, before the family relocated to Encino, California, when she was four years old. Necia attended Emelita Street Elementary School in Encino and continued her education at Sequoia Junior High School and Reseda High School in Reseda, California, where she graduated. It was during her time at Reseda High School that Necia met Ross Luther. The two married and were blessed with two daughters, Shana and Susan. Family was the cornerstone of Necia’s life. She adored her daughters and took immense pride in their families. Shana brought Necia her only granddaughter, Miki, who later gave birth to Necia’s treasured great-grandson, Kellen. Necia found great joy in attending Kellen’s baseball games and supporting him wholeheartedly. Susan blessed Necia with three grandsons—Jake, Grant, and Zach—whom she lovingly referred to as "The Boys." Spending time with her grandchildren always brought light into her life. Necia was the third of five children born to Grant and Barbara Webb. She had two older brothers, Warren (age 85) and Eugene (age 83), and a younger brother Bryce (age 69). Her sister Cheyo Ann Webb tragically passed away on the day of her birth in 1952. Necia shared a special bond with her siblings and
cherished the memories they created together.

Necia’s professional life was as diverse as it was accomplished. She pursued careers in banking and accounting and even established her own accounting business. Her dedication to hard work and precision earned her respect in every endeavor she undertook.

A woman of many talents and passions, Necia was an avid quilter whose creations were deeply valued by family members. Over the years, she participated in numerous quilting groups and retreats where she honed her skills and shared her love for the craft. Her quilts became family treasures, especially those
she made for family reunions that were auctioned off to eager relatives.

Necia spent many years as the president of the local Camp of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Preserving the history of the early pioneers was very near and dear to her heart. Necia’s faith played a central role in her life. As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she
served in various callings throughout her lifetime. Her unwavering belief in Jesus Christ inspired countless acts of service to others. One of her greatest joys was attending temples across Utah to perform sacred ordinances—a testament to her deep spiritual commitment. Above all else, Necia will be remembered for her boundless love for her family and friends. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people from all walks of life through her kindness, acceptance, and genuine warmth. Her Christian faith guided her actions and taught her how to make friends wherever she went—a gift she shared freely with everyone she
met.

Necia is predeceased by her parents, Grant Warren Webb Jr. and Barbara Ross Webb; and her sister Cheyo Ann Webb.

She is survived by her husband Larry Edmonson, brothers Warren Webb and Eugene Webb, her younger brother Bryce Webb; her daughters Shana Sosa and Susan Carver; her grandchildren Miki Sosa, Jake, Grant, and Zach Carver and her cherished great grandson Kellen: as well as extended family members who will
forever cherish their memories of her.

Necia’s legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. May the memory of her kind heart bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held on April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Beaver 1st & 2nd Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (15 N 100 W, Beaver, UT 84713).
