Ogden Elmer Clark, age 93 & a WWII veteran, passed away August 28, 2011, at Kolob Care & Rehabilitation, in Cedar City.Ogden was born January 23, 1918, to Pearl (formerly Pearl Handy) & George Clinton Clark, in Paicines, CA. Ogden was a member of the U.S. Army & a member of the U.S. Marines. First he enlisted, & served his country. After being Honorably discharged, he was then drafted, & served his country once again. He had enlisted before Americas entry into the Second World War but during the initial years of the European conflict. He fought in the Aleutian Islands during the Asiatic-Pacific campaign, & also was a World War II veteran who fought in combat at about every front line. Ogdens passions were his wife, Delores, his cats, racing boats, & traveling the U.S. with his Airstream trailer in tow. He started an Airstream club, which had an impressive amount of members. Him & Delores would caravan with fellow Airstream owners, traveling to events throughout the United States.Ogden is survived by his grandsons Richard Clark & Kendall Clark. His great grandsons Joshuah, Tully, & Cody. Great granddaughters Stephanie & Danieal. Great great grandson Shaun, & great great granddaughters Isabella, Naomi, & Chloey.Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son George Clark, & great grandson Kendall Clark.Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
