Patrick Anthony Price Jr. passed away January 30th, 2024 at his home in Beaver Dam, Arizona. Patrick was born in Beaver, Utah on March 6th, 1983 to Patrick Anthony Price and Carolyn (Bailey) Price.
He was a vibrant boy, full of curiosity and adventure. It seems like he and his little brother Jonny were always getting into mischief together. Everything from getting into their dad's auto shop dumping oil on each other, climbing in the agitating washing machine or Patrick climbing in the neighbors running helicopter left briefly unattended on the helicopter pad just to name a few.
Patrick always took an interest in his father and from the time he could walk he would always shadow him around in their backyard auto shop, learning the skills he would use throughout his life to help friends, relatives and even strangers he came across in need of mechanical help. That knowledge and learning carried all through High School where he competed and placed in a National Auto Skills competition placing 9th individual and 1st with his team.
Patrick’s Family moved from Minersville to Kaysville and then on to Ogden when he was 7 years old. Patrick graduated from Ogden High School in 2001 where he participated in Football, Wrestling and Golf. Patrick was very accomplished in all sports but excelled in Golf and carried that love and skill with him up until his passing with plans to play in a tournament scheduled for the day after his passing. Patrick served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chicago, Illinois where he learned and shared the gospel in Spanish. Patrick had a strong belief in God and Jesus Christ that was instilled in him by his parents.
Patrick graduated from Weber State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive Technology. This was one of his proudest achievements that he would often talk about with others. Patrick had a high-level interest in hot rods. Some of his proudest moments were the old Hot Rods he was able to restore and help others restore as well, but his favorite was the 1965 Dodge Coronet that was his pride and joy. When the weather permitted you could find him riding around on his dad’s Harley (never wearing a helmet) and trying to catch the ladies attention.
Patrick is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Bailey Price, niece Abby Price and grandparents Doragene (Blackner) Bailey, John Everett Bailey, Wanda (Schroeder) Price, and Laurence Sherry Price. He is survived by his father Patrick (Mary Beth) Price, siblings: Pamela (Barry) Clarkson, Jared (Tanya) Price, Natalie (Chris) Godfrey, Nicole (Preston) Petersen, Jonathan (Jessica) Price along with nephews Bryan, Tyler, Adam, Mitchell Clarkson, Carson, Caleb, Corbin Price, Kohwen Petersen, Charlie, Parker, Tommy Price and nieces Presley Petersen, Brooklyn, Darcy, Clara Price along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Although he battled with mental illness and addictions for much of his life, he always found comfort in his family and friends. He loved his mother so much and was always talking about how she was always there to help him. One of her final wishes at her passing was to make sure we did our best to help Patrick through his struggles. We know he was received into her arms and was freed from the pains and addictions of this earthly life.
