Phyllis Dalley Wood, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on July 30, 2009, in Cedar City, Utah. She was born on November 20, 1916 in Loa, Utah to Hillman and Zesta Sorensen Dalley. She attended Schools in Cedar City, and also BAC. She married Max H. Wood, on August 2, 1937, and were later sealed in the St. George Temple. Together they had two children, Barry and Wendy. During WWII she served as a nurses aid. Phyllis was active in the Lions club, the JCs, and served as an ordinance worker with Max in the LDS temple. She helped Max wallpaper and paint homes. She loved to do genealogy, completing seven generations back. She dedicated her life to Max and her children, grandchildren, especially Colby. She is survived by Barry H. (Shauna) Wood, Wendy W. (Enrique) Alfaro, both of Mesquite, Nevada. Her sister Bonnie L. (Rodney) Turner of Provo, Utah. Three wonderful grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Max, a brother Fenton Dalley, who died during WWII, and her parents. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 190 North 300 West in Cedar City, Utah. Visitations will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 6:00-7:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary and on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 9:30-10:30 am at Mortuary. Internment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
