Ranee Ogden Obituary (1954 - 2016)

Ranee Stoddard Ogden was born in Salt Lake, Utah to Howard Mitchell “Mitch” Stoddard and Pauline Blackner Stoddard on November 13, 1954.Ranee had two older brothers, Jim and Don, and an older sister Janet. She also had one younger brother, Howard, and three younger sisters, Patti, Pam & Margaret.She met her soulmate and eternal companion, Chad Leon Ogden, while her family lived in Milford, Utah. They dated through her senior year of high school and as a graduation gift; he gave her a diamond ring.They were married on July 20, 1973 in Milford, Utah and sealed for time and all eternity on May 11, 1990 in the Las Vegas, Nevada temple.Chad and Ranee were blessed with seven beautiful children.Robert & Jennie (Sutton) Ogden of Frisco, Texas, Jaime Ogden of Irving, Texas, Jared & Toni (Miller) Ogden of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nathan Ogden, Tiffany Ogden & Brett Ogden all of Hurricane, Utah and Adrianne (Ogden) & Chris Skiba of Salt Lake City, Utah. They have 10 beautiful grandchildren that they love and are so proud of: (Rob & Jennie) Kelsie Linn Ogden, Zachary Robert Ogden & Mason Kim Ogden. (Jared & Toni) Krew Burton Ogden, Jade Marie Ogden, Ryder Scott Ogden, Violet Joy Ogden & Scarlet Ray Ogden. (Tiffany) Malakai Chad Ogden & Ezekiel James Ogden.Ranee loved her family and had an unwavering testimony of the Gospel. She had a strong desire to help those in need and loved serving others.She passed peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on the afternoon of January 3, 2016 and probably ran the fastest she ever has to the open, waiting and loving arms of her best friend Chad.Ranee is preceded in death by her husband Chad, her parents and her sisters, Janet & Margaret. She is survived by her seven children and ten grandchildren; brothers Jim (Karen) Stoddard, Don (Kathy) Stoddard and Howard (Kelly) Stoddard, sisters Patti (Wain) Mecham and Pam (Bryce) Thornberg; brother-in-laws Rodney (Gerry) Ogden, Kevin (Kaye Lynn) Ogden & LeRay Jackson, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1:30pm at the Milford LDS Ward in Milford, Utah. A viewing will be held prior from 12pm – 1pm, Mountain Standard time, also at the church. Interment will be held in the Milford Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
