She was born on September 16, 1935, in Cedar City, Utah to Carlos Earl Thornton and Roka Prothero. Rayma married Conrad Clark on May 31, 1958 in Paragonah, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on August 26, 1972. They have resided in Cedar City their entire married life. They were married 66 years, to the day.

Rayma was blessed to have three brothers and one sister: Gerry, Reed, Lynn and Delores. She grew up in Paragonah, Utah, attending elementary school in Paragonah, and then graduating from Parowan High School in 1953. Following high school, Rayma enrolled at CSU (SUU) and obtained an Associate's Degree in 1955. She then took employment with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BLM) followed by employment with the Dixie National Forest Service. After her children were older and in school, Rayma returned to work for the BLM. She ended her working career with the Beaver River Resource Office.

Rayma was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony and shared it often with her family. She served in the Primary and Relief Society. She was an excellent visiting teacher and ministering sister. She loved to serve those around her, especially her family. She loved attending the Temple and doing Family History. She cherished her membership with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was very active in the PTA when her children were in school. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and was an excellent cook. Her favorite places to go were to Paragonah and to Horse Valley.

Rayma is survived by her husband Conrad and their children Greg (Pattie) of Enterprise, Utah, Andrea (Raymond) Masterson, Glenn (Natalie), Bruce of Cedar City, Utah and Steven (Suzanne) of Yuma, Arizona, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, and brother Lynn Thornton and brother-in-law Dale Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Delores Robinson, brothers Gerry and Reed Thornton, grandson Brett Wade Clark and granddaughter-in-law Candice Masterson.

The family would like to thank Cedar City Hospital and its ICU team, and Dr. Todd Garrett and his staff, for the exceptional care that was shown to our mother and grandmother.
