Robert “Bob” Thomas Larity

We bid farewell for now, until we meet again.

Throughout his life, Robert was known by many cherished titles: Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandpa (Poppy), Great Grandpa, and one he held especially dear — Coach.

Born on June 20, 1941, to Thomas Ellsworth and Lenore Frances Larity, Robert was raised in Los Angeles alongside his two sisters. In 1965, he and Susan settled in Norwalk, California, where they purchased a home and lovingly raised their children.

Upon retirement, he moved to his favorite place — Beaver, Utah — where he spent his final years in peace and comfort, completing his earthly journey on April 4, 2025.

Robert lived and loved with his whole heart. He graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1959 and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career in the aerospace industry. His dedication to his work was matched only by the devotion he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by Susan Larity, his loving children: Thomas (Lorrie) Larity of Corona, CA; Dianne (Russell) Shaw of West Jordan, UT; and Michelle Larity of Beaver, UT. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and a great-grandfather to nine — with one more joyfully expected.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Patricia Ann, his parents, Thomas and Lenore Larity, and his sisters, Rhonda and Dianne. A private graveside celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Beaver Cemetery.
