Robert "Bob" Rosenberg

–

Cedar City, Utah

Devoted father, loving husband, avid fisherman and humble philanthropist, Robert “Bob” Rosenberg has joined his parents, brothers and sisters in Heaven. Bob passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 77 in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on February 27, 1946, to DeLos Rosenberg and El Rita Johnson. Bob grew up in Cedar City and attended Cedar High School. He married Betty Lou Avedisian on June 27, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later sealed in the St. George temple on June 27, 1979.

Bob was an immediate father to Betty’s two sons, Mark and Robert Davis. A few years later they welcomed their daughter Leesa. Bob worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and he loved taking them camping and fishing throughout Southern Utah.

Bob loved kids and they loved him. He always had a joke, a kind word or a dollar to share. Bob quietly performed good deeds for his family, friends and neighbors as well as strangers in the street. He was always shoveling snow, pulling weeds, making gifts or giving money to those in need.

Bob’s pride and joy were his grandchildren, McCall Rosenberg, Haley (Jake) Allen, Logan Davis, Lexi (Max) Bloxham, Ashlyn Davis and Erica Davis, and his great granddaughter Kennedy Allen. He loved spending time with them, supporting them in all their activities and he loved taking them fishing.

If there was one thing Bob loved as much as his grandchildren, it was his pets. Particularly his two teacup yorkies, Minnie and Olive. He walked them daily and they loved being in his lap every time he sat down.

Bob was a skilled artist. His mediums included metal, wood, barbed wire, horseshoes, license plates and more. There are many people who possess treasures created by Bob. Others admired his work and would often ask to purchase items from his yard. He never turned down a request for one of his creations and often made personalized items for people he knew and loved.

Bob leaves behind a legacy in the Cedar City community. Most notably the work he contributed to the Veterans Memorial Park. He volunteered for hours as the park was built. He had a great love for his country and the people who served. He himself was an army veteran who served as an Army Specialist E5 in the 36th Artillery Service Battery. Bob served in Germany and was enlisted from 1963 to 1966.

Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked at the Iron Mines and later in life worked at Western Rock. He made friends wherever he went, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents DeLos and El Rita Rosenberg, his brothers Carlyle “Bud”, and Mac, and his sisters Guyla (Lowell), Frances, and Maye Dean (Nate). He is survived by his wife, Betty, his children Mark (Alayne) Davis, Robert (Jennifer) Davis, Leesa Rosenberg, and his grandchildren, sisters-in-law Linda Milianta and Loretta Rosenberg, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
