On January 2nd, 2013, Robert Lawrence Weissberg, our loving husband, father, and friend, was called home to his Father in Heaven. Robert was born on April 28th, 1947 to Walter and Eileen Weissberg in Southern California. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1965, and attended L.A. Valley College. On April 30th, 1982, Robert was baptized a member of the LDS church, and remained an active member for his entire life. On October 29th, 1982 he married the love of his life, Daisy Smith, in Upland California, and on March 1st, 1986, the two solemnized their union in the St. George Temple. Robert and his family lived in several places, including California, Colorado, and Arizona, and eventually settled in Cedar City, Utah, where he worked as a custodian at Cedar Middle School for 16 years. Robert loved his job and often referred to the students as his kids. Robert had a gift for poetry and photography, and was working on a poetry book when he passed away. He also loved nature and spending time outdoors, especially with his family. He is survived by his wife, Daisy, his two sons, Brian and Joshua (Megan), his daughter, Jennifer (Justin), his sister, Kathy Wilkie (Chuck), and his loyal dog, Wishbone. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12th, at the Cedar West Stake Center, 725 S. 1100 W. Cedar City, UT, at 11 am.
