Sherri Lee Ainsworth was born to William V Ainsworth and Doris I Ainsworth September 30, 1958 in Kansas City Missouri, and was the youngest of three children. Her sister Doris Talley resides in Las Vegas Nevada and her brother William (Billy) Costan preceded her in death. Sherri spent many happy days with her family in Missouri and then later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she graduated from Valley High in 1976. Sherri spent time in the community serving in the local women's crisis centers, animal shelters, and homeless shelters. Sherri also worked with Las Vegas Legal Aid alongside her mother Doris and her Aunt Jean. Sherri had a kind nature and a special talent where animals were concerned; while in Las Vegas she worked for the only no kill animal shelter (she wouldn't have it any other way). Sherri loved her family and helped wherever she could; she spent Wednesday afternoons weekly with her nephew David Talley and took care of her brother Billy when he became ill. Her home has always been open to family, friends and total strangers. In 1991 she left Las Vegas and moved to Cedar City, Utah to what she affectionately called Ainsworth Ranch, and in 1997 after years of planning she welcomed KyaLee into her home, and two years later Billee joined them. Sherri loved her girls and spent time cooking, painting, laughing, joking, singing to and traveling with them. Sherri was generous and truly loved those around her; she tried to find the good in people and complimented everyone. Sherri looked at life through "Rose Colored Glasses" and she especially enjoyed planning and hosting parties because she wanted people to have fun and be happy. When she left this world she had a successful ranch full of animals, many friends and family members who love her and will miss her deeply. A Memorial Service will be held for Sherri on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary.
