Cedar City, Utah
On October 24, 2021 Stephanie Hulet, at age 47, faithfully completed her mission and all that was needful for her here on earth for her eternal joy and happiness. Don and Lynn Reid happily welcomed their only cherished girl into the world and raised her on the south side of Cedar City, as a true Redmen. Stephanie was raised in a loving household full of brothers, Brian and Brennon, so she learned quickly to hold her own! With a father as a professional educator/high school coach, and a nurturing mother full of adventure, she was raised with structure, love, order and shopping! Lots of shopping! Many swipes were made on machines as Lynn and Steph bounced from one store to the next shopping for perfect décor for all seasons! Steph spent many hours as a child on the sidelines watching her brothers play sports as her dad coached. She developed an intense love for sports especially any sport her boys were playing in and loved all high school athletics. She never missed a game. Stephanie unofficially (but deservingly) adopted the “assistant coach” status by critiquing her father’s and especially her husband’s coaching.
Countless summers were spent further bronzing her Armenian skin suntanning while jamming to the latest cassette tape on a hot houseboat rooftop in the middle of Lake Powell with precious family and friends. Visiting Grandma (Alice the Great) in Moab and exploring the La Sal Mountains were very fond memories. To earn a wad of cash, Steph worked at Lin’s Market and was known by coworkers and customers alike as the “nicest cashier.” The race was on to be Steph’s checkout bagger! This made an especially eager 16-year-old Jeremy Hulet’s job a whole lot more pleasant! This was the beginning of a deep friendship, that turned into love and was solidified in the St. George Temple September 20th, 1997. Steph married her best friend whom she would walk through valleys of sorrow and peaks of sheer joy hand in hand. Everywhere Steph was, Jeremy was. Together they built a beautiful life and brought home their most prized possessions, Jaden (Jay), Kasen (Shnokey), Brycen (Bean), Tycen (T) and her fur baby Ruger. Steph knew the joy of the family unit and cherished being a grandmother to 3 gorgeous granddaughters. Steph could be found wearing capris, flip flops with perfectly manicured toes no matter the season! She spent countless nights scrubbing white baseball pants at 2 am for the next early morning tournament. She would be found pacing the outfield keeping her “assistant coach status” in check, serving others, and scouring her beloved “out west” mountains side by side of her boys, searching for arrow heads and horns while never missing an Atlanta Braves game!
Steph put her heart into working with the down trodden and vulnerable, by faithfully serving the Iron County School District, as the Homeless Liaison for 26 years. She developed and maintained countless positive relationships with many across the country and throughout the state. Many choice experiences and relationships were hers in this position. As a part time secretary, ERA Realty welcomed her in like family and treated her like royalty.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved husband Jeremy, children Jaden (Shanae), Kasen, Brycen, Tycen, grandchildren Bentley, Braelynn, Blakley, mother Lynn Reid, brothers Brennon and Brian (Amber), Mother-in-law Donna Hulet, sister and brother in-laws Julie (Aaron) Wheelwright, Tyler (Carlie), Danon (Brianna), and Lacey (Jordan) Mecham along with many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her father Don C. Reid and father in law, Robert C. Hulet.
A special thank you to the loving care of Dixie Regional Medical Center staff, Iron County School District, ERA Realty family and the countless support, prayers, and generosity of family and friends at this tender time.
