Susan Hunter Bouchér Ross, age 71, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on May 6, 2019 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. She was born July 13, 1947 in Fillmore, Utah to Sidney Ambrose Hunter and Betty Hunter. She was raised in Holden, Utah, as the oldest of 5 siblings, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work from Brigham Young University.\nSusan moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue her passion for helping others with a career in Social Work, where she met Larry Alan Bouchér. The two were married in Las Vegas, sealed in the LDS St. George temple, and raised a family together in southern Nevada. After working as a social worker and substitute teacher, she made a career as a Parole and Probation Officer. In that capacity, she worked to help improve the lives of those under her care, including teaching adult education and life skills classes. After the passing of her first husband, Susan moved to Enoch, Utah, and enjoyed retirement as a volunteer docent at the Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City. In Enoch, Susan met Ray William Ross. Susan and Ray married in 2001 and have made their home together in Enoch since, close to family and friends. Susan spent her later years being a grandmother and enjoying every minute of it.\nSusan will be remembered by all who knew her for her abundance of kindness, strength, warmth, and generosity, for her laugh, her sass, her love of a good Agatha Christie crime novel, and her love for family and friends and especially grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Ray Ross; her four children Scott Bouchér, Brett Bouchér, Cheri Bouchér, and Kurtt Bouchér; her four step-children, Sonja Ross, Jared Ross, Amy Ross, and Lester Ross; and her 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.\nShe was preceded in death by her first husband Larry Bouchér, her parents Sid and Betty Hunter, and her sister Joyce Hunter.\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday May 11, 2019 at 10:00 am at the LDS chapel located at 40 E. Midvalley Road, Enoch, Utah. A viewing for the family and friends will be held prior to the services at 9:00 am in the same chapel. Interment will be at the cemetery in Holden, Utah at 3:00 pm.
