Susanah Brown Obituary (1920 - 2014)

American Fork/Enoch, Utah Susanah (Sue) G Brown born to Dirk and Ann Schoss Gout in SLC, UT. November 11, 1920 passed at the age of 93 on May 19, 2014 while living with her daughter Susan Swapp in Enoch, UT. Sue graduated from West High in SLC in 1938, she met her husband Cyrus Brown while working at Camp Kerns as a secretary, they later married on February 27, 1943. Sue was a devoted mother and wife, her married life was cut short after Cyrus passed in June of 1963 and she never remarried while devoting her life to raising their six children. Sue formerly resided in her home of American Fork Utah. Sue loved to travel and site see, she loved nature, yard work, her pets, and her many grandchildren. Sue worked hard in her life and was most generous with her time and the few resources she had. She served as a Sunday school and primary Teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Dirk and Anna Schoss Gout, Husband Cyrus Edward Brown, son Peter Edward Brown, grandson Tyler Joe Orton, 6 sisters Mary Blackman, Grace Harry, May Zumpano, Carol Adams, Ann Tucker and Barbra Fallown. Sue is survived by son David L. (Sally) Brown of Meeker, CO; daughter Susan Swapp of Enoch; son John Brown of Am. Fork; son Joseph D. (Sharon) Brown of Grand Jct, CO; son Tyler James Brown of Mesa, CO; eleven grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren one great, great grandchild. Along with her sister Tish Rogers and three brothers Richard, John and Fred Gout. Funeral Services will be held on May 23 at the American Fork First Pacific Drive 1st Ward: 688 West 500 North. Visiting hours will start at 9:30 to 10:30. The funeral will begin at 11:00. Interment will be in the American Fork Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
