We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend Tyson Thad Thompson. Tyson was born on April 30, 1986 to Sherrie Carter and Thad Thompson, and passed away on Friday June 19, 2015. Tyson was very much a "mama's" boy and he took advantage of every opportunity to let the world know how much he loved her. Tyson was a passionate person in all that he did, and he loved with all of his heart. He loved dancing and music, and especially loved writing his own lyrics and showing off his skill of beatboxing. It didn't matter if he was rapping about what was in his heart, or jokingly singing about random stuff around the house, he always captivated his audience. When Tyson met Catherine Ann Hogan , he felt that he had met the love of his life. Together they had a beautiful baby girl, Aliz Victoria Thompson. Aliz was his pride and joy and he loved her more than anything. Tyson is survived by his beautiful daughter, Aliz; his parents, Sherrie (Steven) Barton and Thad (Leisa) Thompson; his siblings Whitney Thompson, Anastasia (Eric) Gause, and Dakota Barton; his nephew Elijah Gause; as well as his grandmothers, Pat Capps (Moe Burris) and Daria (Norm) Forbush. He is preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Lynn Horace Thompson and Stephen Howard Carter. Although we will miss him dearly, we are comforted with knowing that he is no longer suffering and his spirit is at peace. Visitation will be held Friday June 26, 2015 from 9:30 - 10:30 prior to the funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park (4335 West 4100 South). Interment will be held at the West Jordan City Cemetery (7800 South 1300 West) under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to America First Credit Union under the name Tyson Thompson.
